The Need for HIV Support Services
There are around 113,500 people living with HIV in the UK, and more than 5,200 of them don’t know they have it, that’s approximately 1 in 22 people currently undiagnosed.

Although smaller towns in Berkshire and Hampshire have a lower prevalence of HIV, they have a much higher percentage of people being diagnosed late. When HIV is diagnosed late, people miss the chance to start treatment early, turning what could have been a manageable condition into a serious health crisis. Late HIV diagnosis 2022-24:
