THE TERRY TUNNICLIFF FUND

Offers those in need of assistance in DSS Benefits/Housing, advice, referral and advocacy.
INFORMATION SERVICE & KNOWLEDGE SUITE
Our comprehensive supply of leaflets and information booklets produced by TVPS Publications, coving policy/guidelines and services available. TVPS, also has new resource and information 'The Knowledge Suite' with Internet facilities, covering everything from the latest medical treatments for HIV/AIDS, to updates on welfare benefits. TVPS produces a monthly Newsletter @TVPS in collaboration with Kernow Positive Support, an HIV charity based in Cornwall - Which is free to our members. OUTREACH SERVICES

TRANSPORT SCHEME
A transport service for people without their own cars providing lifts to and from the drop-in centres, clinics or hospitals.
TVPS TRAINING
TVPS offers a range of internal and external training programmes, workshops, seminars, computer training in our new 'Knowledge Suite' facility for clients to hone new skills. TVPS HELPLINE
TVPS offers a Helpline service, with support and information on all aspects of HIV. Telephone Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

Member Support
Member Support Groups & Meetings
Support Groups offer a safe and confidential social forum for TVPS members . The groups can meet on a regular basis and refreshments are provided.
BODY POSlTIVE SUPPORT GROUP
Thames Valley Body Positive was formed in late 1987 and became part of TVPS in 1994. Originally positive members of the group met once a week in a confidential setting at our Burnham Support Centre.
WOMEN’S GROUP
The TVPS Women’s Group for members was formed in 1995. Originally members of the group met once a month in a confidential setting at the Burnham Support Centre.
MEN’S GROUP
The TVPS Men’s Group for members was formed in 1996. Originally members of the group met once a month in a confidential setting at the Burnham Support Centre.
GAY MEN’S GROUP
The TVPS Gay Men’s Group for members was formed in 1995. Originally members of the group met once a month in a confidential setting at the Burnham Support Centre.
AFRO-CARIBBEAN GROUP
This is a new initiative for Afro-Caribbean members.
FAMILY & PARTNERS GROUP
The TVPS Family and Partners Support Group was formed in 1989. Originally members of the group met once a month in a confidential setting.
VOLUNTEER SUPPORT
TVPS provides various support group and meetings specifically for our volunteer members. The Support Centres are available for Drop-in for all our volunteer members. TVPS offers Befriending Support (Buddy/Amigo) Meetings, Acrobat PDF Reader information is available by clicking on Befriender Scheme. Volunteer Support and Training Meetings. SOCIAL SUPPORT
TVPS provides various social activities for all TVPS members, such as the holding of our Annual Garden Party, and other activities.
Complementary Therapies
Thames Valley Positive Support provides a wide range of Complementary Therapies at our Support Centres, all of which are well documented which use practiced techniques, which members may wish to combine these with their medical treatment, Their use has been proven successful in many cases and, although they do not offer a definable cure, they can improve the quality of life for an individual. Currently a £5 per session charge is made people who are HIV-positive, and their Primary Carer(s). Check out the therapies available in our Therapeutic Services section.
Counselling
TVPS provides a range of counselling facilities, either group sessions or one-to-one which a member may wish to use. All of TVPS's counsellors are registered professionals and all sessions are free-of-charge to people who are HIV-positive, and their Primary Carer(s). Other Services Offered
ART & CRAFT GROUP
TVPS offers an Arts and Crafts facility at the Burnham Support Centre. Groups meet on a regular basis including; Glass/Pot painting, Home-made Greetings Cards, Pottery and many other forms of Arts and Crafts.
DIETARY ADVICE
TVPS offers free dietary advice from professionals working in the private sector as well as Statutory Agency professionals based at the Reading and Slough G.U.M. Clinics
INFORMATION & RESOURCES LIBRARY
TVPS has an extensive Information and Resources Library at our Burnham Support Centre, available to any member wishing to access any updated information on treatments and services available locally and nationally. As a member of TVPS you can request to be included on our mailing list for our monthly Newsletter ‘@TVPS’ and other details that will help keep you abreast with the developments within the Organisation. Mailouts are optional for our client members and will only be sent with their prior permission.
