TVPS Location - Drop in and Support Centres

Purpose: To improve the quality of life for those infected / affected by HIV / AIDS.

Daytime Drop-in

The Burnham Support Centre provides daytime Drop-in facilities for all Clients Partners, Family, Primary Carers and Volunteers, where they can rest, chat, or for tea/coffee. Complementary Therapy treatments, Counselling and Support Group meeting are also available. Hot food is available as required and vegetarians can be catered for. Lunches are currently available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Evening Drop-in

The Burnham Support Centre provides Evening Drop-in facilities for all Clients Partners, Family, Primary Carers and Volunteers, where they can rest, chat, or for tea / coffee. Complementary Therapy treatments, Counselling and Support Group meeting are also available. An evening meal can be made available upon request.

Oxford Road Reading Drop-in (Telephone: 0118 9503375)

Reading Drop-in services have been under review. TVPS has received funding from Reading Borough Council to provide a new 5 day per week facility, that is now providing a permanent regional administrative office and Drop-in facility for all Clients Partners, Family, Primary Carers and Volunteers within the West of Berkshire. They will be able to gain support, rest, chat. The Drop-In will be open twice per week where light refreshments will be on offer with Complementary Therapy treatments available.

It is proposed Peer Support meetings will be made available in the Newbury area as required. Clients living within the area are consultation with TVPS to finalise details on this new and exciting venture. Watch out for further details.

You can expect confidentiality at all times.

You can expect enquiry points and clear staff/volunteer support at TVPS Support Centres and all Drop-in venues to help you and your visitors to find your way around.

You can expect to be supported and cared for in an environment which is clean, safe and confidential. Please remember to state any preferences as to this support.

During any time you spend at a Support Centre or at any TVPS Drop-in facility you can expect reasonable measures to be taken for your personal protection and safety. You can help TVPS by relating any suspicious incidents or behavior to staff or volunteers on duty
